Cervical Cancer
CERVICAL CANCER
Cervical cancer is a serious health issue which affects hundreds and thousands of women every year. Many women lost their lives because of this disease.
When cancer starts in cervix it is called Cervical Cancer. Cervix connects the vagina to the upper part of the Uterus or womb where a baby grows during pregnancy.
The main reason of increase in cervical cancer case is HPV (Human papillomavirus). It is a common virus that passes from one person to another during sexual intercourse. Many people contract HPV at some point in their lives but major strains of this disease can further lead to cervical cancer.
The most important things one can do to help prevent this disease is to do screening tests and get HPV vaccines. Educating individuals about the importance of screening, quitting smoking and practicing safe sex and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can reduce the risk of cervical cancer.
Model, actor and reality TV star Poonam Pandey faked her death on social media platforms by saying that “she died of cervical cancer” She wants to spread an awareness to the people about this disease which is affecting the lives of women. Her way of attempting to create the awareness about the public health issues was not right but according to me at least they know about cervical cancer and researching more about it's symptoms after watching her post and creating awareness about a disease that no one talks about.
